Description |
A heavy coated basic - iron powder type hydrogen controlled electrode with very good operating characteristics in flat and other positions. The electrode produces a smooth arc with least spatter and highly controlled molten slag - metal weld pool. The slag detachability is very good and bead is smooth, even shaped and finely rippled. Weld deposit is of high radiographic soundness. |
Application |
Joining of mild, medium tensile, micro alloyed and low alloy steel e.g. IS 2002 GR.1 & 2, IS 2062 Gr. C, IS 1875 Class 2, 2A, 3, ASTM A 633, Ship steel of A, D & E quality, Fe 440B, Fe 490B, SAIMA 410, TISTEN 52, TISTEN 55 and equivalent grades & steels for cryogenic applications requiring temperature upto -50 deg. C
Suitable for welding of pressure vessels and boilers, high pressure piping jobs, heavy fabrications, cranes, girders, penstocks, root runs of heavy and restrained joints, bridges coaches, heavy machineries, earth moving equipment etc. |
